Tax Credits

Donations to AVTEC are eligible for tax credits through the Alaska Education Tax Credit Program. If your company pays any of the following taxes to the State of Alaska you may be eligible to claim an Education Tax Credit:

  • Alaska Corporate Income Tax (AS 43.20.011)
  • Fisheries Business Tax (AS 43.75.015)
  • Fishery Resource Landing Tax (AS 43.77.010)
  • Insurance Premium Tax/Title Insurance Premium Tax (AS 21.89.070)
  • Mining License Tax (AS 43.65.010)
  • Oil and Gas Production and Transportation Tax (AS 43.56.010)
  • Oil and Gas Property Tax (AS 43.55.011)

To make a donation that could be eligible for an education tax credit, contact the AVTEC Director at 907-224-6150 or fred.esposito@avtec.edu.

The AVTEC Foundation fund

Contributions to the AVTEC Foundation Fund are accepted in the form of outright gifts of cash, pledge, bequests, life income gifts, or equipment. The AVTEC Foundation Fund is professionally managed by The Alaska Community Foundation (ACF). ACF is a tax-exempt public charity that meets published national standards of performance for investment practices, donor services and grant-making procedures.

Purpose:

The AVTEC Foundation Fund was established to create an endowment that will support AVTEC education and training programs including but not limited to equipment, staff, supplies, professional development, facility lease, facility upgrades, recruitment, marketing, travel and scholarships as well as capital expansion.
